2023 Recap
When you look back on an entire year’s worth of designing, Mom-ing, and life in general its hard to believe you fit it all in to just 365 days. Some highlights of the past year were a gal’s trip to Devil’s Thumb, a family vacation in Steamboat, complete with a buffalo ATV tour and an expanding portfolio of fun design projects that keep me on my toes.

Well happy new year to you! I can’t seem to find my groove here in 2024 yet. I don’t know if its the polar vortex? Currently a balmy -5 here in Denver. It seems like the kids are always off of school, which is making my routine feel all out of whack. However, what is NOT whack, are these 90s theme birthday party can koozies! I freggin love this party theme. 2 legit 2 quit is truly a transformative track from my childhood. Looking at you 4th grade talent show.

Well, how are things? Chaotic? Stressful? This is a crazy time to be alive. I keep trying to find the humor and grace in the small things. And if you are a #coronabride, you know exactly what I am talking about. My heart goes out to you. My husband and I were supposed to be on a plane next week for Cozumel and a dear friend’s wedding. Hearing the heartbreak in her voice about postponing the wedding made me want to do something.

If you honor your calendar and really show up for yourself every week, there is no need to be running around frantically trying to get things done. I’ve been implementing her system of “throwing away your to-do list” for several months and it has made SUCH. A. DIFFERENCE.
Never Forget. Reflections on 9/11 and a humble offering
18 years. Wow. Every year on 9/11 I can’t help but flash back to when I first found out. I was 19 years old when the planes hit the twin towers.
