2023 Recap

When you look back on an entire year’s worth of designing, Mom-ing, and life in general its hard to believe you fit it all in to just 365 days. Some highlights of the past year were a gal’s trip to Devil’s Thumb, a family vacation in Steamboat, complete with a buffalo ATV tour and an expanding portfolio of fun design projects that keep me on my toes.

A large scale project I’ve been cooking up all year is for a brand new construction, luxury apartment complex in Tampa’s Channelside district. This beautiful brand was set up for UDR by an agency, but I’ve been knocking out a suite of marketing left and right. From construction way finding signage, to digital street kiosk signs, brochures, you name it. Here’s a glimpse at all the goodies for 101 N Meridian:

Retreat at Sunset Walk

Next up I worked on the full suite of branding for a new apartment property (also in Florida, funny enough). I set up everything from a mood board to business card. The client wanted to see a fun spin on a tropical “sunny” vibe. I liked how the logo turned in to a design element on the collateral. Incorporating branded elements is one of my favorite ways to create a visual system from one little logo.

A few logos were built by me.

Some did not make it to the light of day, but its always a good exercise to design a logo. They are the hardest Graphic Design problem to solve, as they have to work in a variety of outlets, convey your entire brand essence and be one-of-a-kind.

More from Pearl

A consistent client for the past three years, I’ve done just about everything there is to design for Pearl Certification. Over the past year their Partnership division has really grown and required a few custom logos. Seen below.

Their bread and butter is the third-party certification that comes from one of their Elite Pearl Network contractors. Let’s say you have solar panels installed by a licensed Pearl vendor. That comes with the peace of mind that the install has been quality assured by Pearl.

They spend a lot of time talking to HVAC companies and forming strategic alliances at trade shows. Below is a fun booth sign I recently completed.
